TRAFFIC SIGNS (TEMPORARY AUTHORISATIONS) ORDER, 1956 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1958.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 69 of the Local Government Act, 1946 (No. 24 of 1946) as amended by section 36 of the Local Government Act, 1955 (No. 9 of 1955) hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Traffic Signs (Temporary Authorisations) Order, 1956 (Amendment) Order, 1958.

2. Article 2 of the Traffic Signs (Temporary Authorisations) Order, 1956 ( S.I. No. 285 of 1956 ) shall be amended by the substitution of " the 31st day of December, 1960 " for " the 31st day of December, 1958 ".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to authorise the continuance in use of certain traffic signs which are at present provided by road authorities and which are not in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations, 1956. The authorisation will have effect up to 31st December, 1960, or until the Minister otherwise determines, whichever is the earlier.
