BRETTON WOODS AGREEMENTS (AMENDMENT) ACT 2022


An Act to provide for Ireland’s participation in the Decision adopted by the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund on New Arrangements to Borrow (NAB) whereby the State undertakes to provide resources to the International Monetary Fund by means of credit arrangements; to provide for guarantees by the Minister for Finance to the Central Bank of Ireland on any moneys advanced by it arising from a call by the International Monetary Fund under the NAB Decision; to provide for payments by the Minister for Finance out of the Central Fund to certain trust funds; to provide that the Minister for Finance may make a payment out of the Central Fund to the Central Bank of Ireland in respect of certain transactions; to amend the Bretton Woods Agreements Act 1957 in relation to the Catastrophe Containment and Relief Trust; to amend the Bretton Woods Agreements (Amendment) Act 1999 in relation to the Poverty Reduction and Growth Trust; to provide for certain other consequential amendments; and to provide for related matters.
