S.I. No. 195/2013 - Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Foot and Mouth Disease Orders) (Revocation) Order 2013.

I, SIMON COVENEY, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 , 13 , 14 , 15 and 18 of the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (No. 6 of 1966) (as adapted by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2011, ( S.I. No. 455 of 2011 ) hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Foot and Mouth Disease Orders) (Revocation) Order 2013.

2. The following are revoked—

(a) the Foot and Mouth Disease Order 1956 ( S.I. No. 324 of 1956 ),

(b) the Foot and Mouth Disease Order 1956 (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1967 ( S.I. No. 310 of 1967 ),

(c) Swine Vesicular Disease Order 1972 ( S.I. No. 340 of 1972 )

(d) African Swine Fever Order 1986 ( S.I. No. 288 of 1986 )

(e) the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Foot-and-Mouth Disease)(Export and Import of Horses) Order 2001 ( S.I. No. 105 of 2001 ),

(f) the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Foot-and-Mouth Disease)(Import Restrictions)(No. 2)(Amendment) Order 2001 ( S.I. No. 107 of 2001 ),

(g) the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Foot-and-Mouth Disease)(Import Restrictions)(No. 2)(Second Amendment) Order 2001 ( S.I. No. 143 of 2001 ),

(h) the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Foot-and-Mouth Disease)(Import) Order 2001 ( S.I. No. 162 of 2001 ),

(p) the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Restriction on Exhibition, Sale and Transport of Animals) (Amendment) Order 2001 ( S.I. No. 420 of 2001 ),

(q) the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Import of Sheep for Fattening and Breeding from Northern Ireland) Order 2001 ( S.I. No. 503 of 2001 )

(r) the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Removal of Certain Restrictions) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 31 of 2002 ),

(s) the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Restriction on Imports from the United Kingdom) (No. 3) Order 2001 (Modification) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 71 of 2002 ), and

(t) Classical Swine Fever Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 561 of 2002 ).

These Regulations revoke certain orders made under the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 as legislation to transpose Council Directive 2003/85/EC in relation to suspected and confirmed outbreaks of Foot and Mouth has already been enacted.
