OMBUDSMAN (AMENDMENT) ACT 2012


AN ACT TO AMEND THE OMBUDSMAN ACT 1980, TO AMEND THE PUBLIC SERVICE MANAGEMENT (RECRUITMENT AND APPOINTMENTS) ACT 2004 SO AS TO ENABLE FUNCTIONS RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF THE COMMISSION FOR PUBLIC SERVICE APPOINTMENTS AND TO THE DIRECTOR OF THAT OFFICE TO BE CARRIED OUT BY, RESPECTIVELY, THE OFFICE OF THE OMBUDSMAN AND BY THE OFFICER OF THE LAST-MENTIONED OFFICE WHO PERFORMS THE FUNCTIONS OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF THAT OFFICE, TO PROVIDE FOR THE CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENT OF CERTAIN OTHER ACTS AND TO PROVIDE FOR CONNECTED MATTERS.
