TOBACCO PRODUCTS (CONTROL OF ADVERTISING, SPONSORSHIP AND SALES PROMOTION) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2009

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 3rd July, 2009.

I, ÁINE BRADY, Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Tobacco Products (Control of Advertising, Sponsorship and Sales Promotion) Act 1978 (No. 27 of 1978) and the Health and Children (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 3) Order 2009 ( S.I. No. 233 of 2009 ), hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Tobacco Products (Control of Advertising, Sponsorship and Sales Promotion) (Amendment) Regulations 2009.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 July 2009.

2. Regulation 8 of the Tobacco Products (Control of Advertising, Sponsorship and Sales Promotion) Regulations 1991 ( S.I. No. 326 of 1991 ) is amended by the deletion of subparagraph (b) of paragraph (2).

These Regulations amend Regulation 8 of the Tobacco Products (Control of Advertising, Sponsorship and Sales Promotion) Regulations 1991 ( S.I. No. 326 of 1991 ).
