INDUSTRIAL DESIGNS (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2007

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 14th September, 2007.

I, MICHAEL AHERN, Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 85 of the Industrial Designs Act 2001 (No. 39 of 2001) and the Enterprise, Trade and Employment (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 4) Order 2007 ( S.I. No. 562 of 2007 ), hereby make the following regulations:

Citation.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Industrial Designs (Amendment) Regulations 2007.

Amendment of Regulation 8 of Industrial Designs Regulations 2002.

2. Regulation 8(1) of the Industrial Designs Regulations 2002 ( S.I. No. 280 of 2002 ) is amended by substituting “in the European Union” for “in the State”.

The Regulations make a slight change to the Industrial Design Regulations 2002 by allowing a person, involved in any proceeding before the Controller of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks or a registered proprietor of a design, to have an address for service in the European Union as opposed to in the State.
