PUBLIC HEALTH (TOBACCO) ACT 2002 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER 2007 | ||
Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||
“Iris Oifigiúil” of 13th April, 2007. | ||
I, MARY HARNEY, Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1(2) of the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (No. 6 of 2002), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (Commencement) Order 2007. | ||
2. In this Order “Act of 2002” means the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (No. 6 of 2002). | ||
3. (1) Section 45 of the Act of 2002 shall come into operation on the date of the making of this Order. | ||
(2) The 31st day of May 2007 is appointed as the day on which subsections (1) and (3) of section 38 (inserted by section 9 of the Public Health (Tobacco) (Amendment) Act 2004 (No. 6 of 2004)) of the Act of 2002 shall come into operation. | ||

This Order may be cited as Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (Commencement) Order 2007. | ||
The Order commences section 45 with effect from the date of making this order and subsections (1) and (3) of section 38 (inserted by Section 9 of the Public Health (Tobacco) (Amendment) Act 2004 ) of the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 , from 31 May 2007. |
