Garda Síochána Act 2005 (Section 19(5)) Order 2006

I, Michael McDowell, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 19(5) of the Garda Síochána Act 2005 (No. 20 of 2005) and having complied with section 19(6) of that Act, hereby order as follows:

1.  This order may be cited as the Garda Síochána Act 2005 (Section 19(5)) Order 2006.

2.  Every member (except a member employed in the Criminal Assets Bureau) of the staff of the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform who in the discharge of his or her duties is accountable to a member of the Garda Síochána is hereby designated for the purposes of section 19 of the Garda Síochána Act 2005.
