Garda Síochána Act 2005 (Commencement) (No.2) Order 2006

I, Michael McDowell, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Garda Síochána Act 2005 (No. 20 of 2005), hereby order as follows:

1.        This Order may be cited as the Garda Síochána Act 2005 (Commencement) (No.2) Order 2006

2.        The 14th day of July 2006 is appointed as the day on which sections 29, 43 to 45 and 132 of the Garda Síochána Act 2005 (No.20 of 2005) come into operation.

This Statutory Instrument brings into operation from 14 July, 2006 certain provisions of the Garda Síochána Act 2005.
