Health (Repayment Scheme) Act 2006 (Commencement) Order 2006

I, Mary Harney, TD, Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1(3) of the Health (Repayment Scheme) Act 2006 (No. 17 of 2006) hereby order as follows:

1.   This Order may be cited as the Health (Repayment Scheme) Act 2006 (Commencement) Order 2006.

2.   The 30th day of June, 2006 is appointed as the day on which the Health (Repayment Scheme) Act 2006 (No. 17 of 2006) comes into operation:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order appoints the 30th day of June 2006 as the day bringing into operation all provisions of the Health (Repayment Scheme) Act 2006 .

The Health (Repayment Scheme) Act 2006 provides a legal framework for a scheme to repay recoverable health charges for publicly funded long term residential care and also regulates private property accounts.
