Statistics (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2004

The Government, on the request of the Taoiseach and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2(1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1.         This Order may be cited as the Statistics (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2004.

2.         The powers and duties of the Taoiseach conferred on him by or under -

(a)       The Statistics Act 1993 (No. 21 of 1993),

(b)      the Civil Service Regulations Acts 1956 and 1958, the Civil Service Commissioners Act 1956 (No. 45 of 1956) and the Public Service Management Act 2004 (No. 33 of 2004) in so far as those Acts relate to the Central Statistics Office,

are delegated to Tom Kitt, Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach.
