I, SÉAMUS BRENNAN, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 9 (6) of the State Airports Act 2004 (No. 32 of 2004), hereby order as follows:

1.  This order may be cited as the State Airports Act 2004 (Dublin Appointed Day) Order 2004.

2.  The day appointed for the purposes of section 9 (6) of the State Airports Act 2004 (No. 32 of 2004) is 1 October 2004.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

As provided for under section 9(6) of the State Airports Act, 2004, this Order sets the date with effect from which the principal objects of Aer Rianta shall include an additional object i.e. to do all things as are necessary to give effect to the restructuring of the State airports. The day so appointed is the Dublin appointed day for the purposes of the State Airports Act 2004 .
