S.I. No. 116/2002 - Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act 1993 (Section 14) Order 2002

I Charlie McCreevy, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 14 (1) of the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act 1993 (No. 8 of 1993), hereby order as follows:

1.         (1) This order may be cited as the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment Act 1993 (Section 14) Order 2002.

(2) This Order comes into operation on 1 April 2002.

2.         On and from 1 April 2002 the annual rate of remuneration of the Comptroller and Auditor General shall be €172,982.

3.         The Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act 1993 (Section 14 (No.2) Order 2001 ( S.I. No. 658 of 2001 ) is revoked.

This Order applies an increase with effect from 1 April 2002 to the salary of the Comptroller and Auditor General, arising from the recommendations in Report No. 38 of the Review Body on Higher Remuneration in the Public Sector.
