S.I. No. 658/2001 - Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1993 (Section 14) (No. 2) Order, 2001.

I Charlie McCreevy, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 14 (1) of the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1993 (No. 8 of 1993), hereby order as follows:

1.       (1) This order may be cited as the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1993 (Section 14) (No. 2) Order, 2001.

(2) This Order comes into operation on 1 July 2001.

2.       On and from 1 July 2001 the annual rate of remuneration of the Comptroller and Auditor General shall be €153,916.38 (£121,219).

3.       The Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1993 (Section 14) Order, 2001 ( S.I. No. 202 of 2001 ), is revoked.

This Order applies an increase with effect from 1 July 2001 to the salary of the Comptroller and Auditor General, arising from the recommendations in Report No. 38 of the Review Body on Higher Remuneration in the Public Sector.
