ROAD TRAFFIC (SPEED LIMITS) (COUNTY BOROUGH OF WATERFORD AND COUNTY OF WATERFORD) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1994.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 5 and 45 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) and section 46 of the said Act (as amended by section 25 of the Road Traffic Act 1968 (No. 25 of 1968)), hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. (i) These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County Borough of Waterford and County of Waterford) (Amendment) Regulations, 1994.

(ii) The Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County Borough of Waterford and County of Waterford) Regulations, 1986 to 1992 and these Regulations shall be construed together and may be cited collectively as the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County Borough of Waterford and County of Waterford) (Amendment) Regulations 1986 to 1994.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 9th day of March, 1994.

3. In these Regulations "the Principal Regulations" means the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County Borough of Waterford and County of Waterford) Regulations, 1986 ( S.I. No. 8 of 1986 ).

4. The following reference shall be substituted for reference 4 of the First Schedule to the Principal Regulations:—

"4. The following roads in the County Borough of Waterford:—

( a ) The Knockhouse Road, Quarry Road, Ballindud Road, The Green Road, The Lacken Road.

( b ) The Lower Grange Road for a distance of 1,620 metres north west of the county borough boundary.

( c ) The Tramore Road between a point 600 metres south west of its junction with the Inner Ring Road and the county borough boundary.

( d ) The Cleaboy Road between a point 550 metres south west of its junction with the Skibbereen Road and the county borough boundary.

( e ) The Cork Road (National Road N25) between a point 45 metres south west of its westernmost junction with Ballybeg Drive and the county borough boundary.

( f ) The Gracedieu Road between a point 250 metres east of its junction with the Knockhouse Road and a point 1,450 metres west of the said junction.

( g ) The Bilberry Road between a point 450 metres east of its junction with Quarry Road and a point 1,450 metres west of the said junction.

( h ) The Dunmore Road between a point 250 metres north west of its junction with Knockboy Road and the county borough boundary.

( i ) The Old Tramore Road between a point 70 metres south of its junction with the southernmost entrance to the Avondale Estate and the point where the county borough boundary interests the western side of the road.

( j ) The Kilcaragh Cross Road between a point 300 metres south east of its junction with the Williamstown Cross-Callaghane Bridge and the county borough boundary.

( k ) The Williamstown Cross-Callaghane Bridge Road for a distance of 50 metres north west of the point where the county borough boundary interests the eastern side of the road.

( l ) The Monamintra Cross Road between its junction with the Kilcaragh Cross Road and a point 579 metres south west of its junction with the Williamstown Cross-Callaghane Bridge Road.

( m ) The Butlerstown Road between a point 20 metres south west of its junction with Ballybeg Drive and the county borough boundary.

( n ) The Kilbarry Road between a point 320 metres south west of its junction with the Cork Road (National Road N25) and the county borough boundary.

( o ) The Knockboy Road for a distance of 10 metres south west of its junction with the Dunmore Road.

( p ) All roads in the added area described in the First Schedule to the County Borough of Waterford (Extension of Boundary) Provisional Order, 1979 as confirmed by the Local Government Provisional Order Confirmation Act, 1979 (Number 2 (Private) of 1979), other than those roads or parts thereof in the said area which are described at reference (a) to (o) inclusive."

The following reference shall be substituted for reference 6 of the Third Schedule t o the Principal Regulations:—

"6. The following roads in the County Borough of Waterford:—

( a ) The Dunmore Road between a point 250 metres north west of its junction with the Knockboy Road and a point 150 metres south-east of the said junction.

( b ) The Cork Road (National Road N25) between a point 45 metres south west of its westernmost junction with Ballybeg Drive and a point 450 metres south west of the said junction.

( c ) The Old Tramore Road between a point 70 metres south of its junction with the southernmost entrance to the Avondale Estate and its junction with the Ballindud Road.

( d ) The Knockboy Road for a distance of 10 metres south west of its junction with the Dunmore Road.
