DISEASES OF ANIMALS (NOTIFICATION OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES) ORDER, 1975 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1992

I, JOE WALSH, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 , 12 , 13 and 27 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1987 ( S.I. No. 97 of 1987 ), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals (Notification of Infectious Diseases) Order, 1975 (Amendment) Order, 1992.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 15th day of September, 1992.

(3) The Diseases of Animals (Notification of Infectious Diseases) Order, 1975, and this Order may be cited together as the Diseases of Animals (Notification of Infectious Diseases) Orders, 1975 and 1992.

2. The Diseases of Animals (Notification of Infectious Diseases) Order, 1975 ( S.I. No. 189 of 1975 ) is hereby amended by the substitution in the definition of "disease" in Article 2 of "Equine Encephalomyelitis" for "Venezuelan Equine Encephalomyelitis".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order extends the diseases which must be notified to include all forms of Equine Encephalomyelitis.
