URBAN RENEWAL ACT, 1986 (TRANSFER OF LAND) ORDER, 1987.

The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers vested in him by section 13 of the Urban Renewal Act, 1986 (No. 19 of 1986) after consultation with the Minister for Communications, hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Urban Renewal Act, 1986 (Transfer of Land) Order, 1987.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of March, 1987.

3. In this Order:—

"the Act" means the Urban Renewal Act, 1986 ;

"Custom House Docks Area" has the meaning assigned to it by section 3 of the Act;

"land" has the meaning assigned to it in section I of the Act;

"the Authority" means the Custom House Docks Development Authority established under section 8 of the Act;

"the Board" means the Dublin Port and Docks Board.

4. All land held by the Board in the Custom House Docks Area together with all rights, powers and privileges relating to or connected with such land is hereby transferred to the Authority to be held by the Authority for all the estate, rights, title and interest for which the same is held by the Board.

5. The land to which this Order relates shall, on the coming into operation of this Order, cease to be within both the limits of the Harbour of Dublin and the limits of the Port of Dublin within the meaning of section 2 of the Dublin Port and Docks Act, 1869 (1869 c.c.)

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order transfers ownership of the Custom House Docks from the Dublin Port and Docks Board to the Custom House Docks Development Authority.
