DENTISTS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1983

AN ACT TO AMEND THE DENTISTS ACT, 1928 .

BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:

Extension of period of office of Dental Board.

1.—The term of office of the members of the Dental Board holding office as such members upon the passing of this Act is hereby extended by a period of two years and, accordingly, section 4 (1) of the Dentists Act, 1928 , is hereby amended, as respects such members, by the substitution of “seven years” for “five years”.

Short title, construction and collective citation.

2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Dentists (Amendment) Act, 1983.

(2) The Dentists Act, 1928 , and this Act may be cited together as the Dentists Acts, 1928 and 1983, and shall be construed together as one.
