AN ACT TO CONTINUE IN OPERATION THE EXCHANGE CONTROL ACT, 1954 . [27th December, 1982] |

BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS: |

Continuance of Exchange Control Act, 1954. |
1.—The following subsection is hereby substituted for section 2 (2) of the Exchange Control Act, 1954 , as amended by section 2 of the Exchange Control (Continuance and Amendment) Act, 1978 : |

“(2) This Act shall continue in operation until the 31st day of December, 1986, and shall then expire.”. |

Short title and collective citation. |
2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Exchange Control (Continuance) Act, 1982. |
|||||||
|
(2) The Exchange Control Acts, 1954 to 1978, and this Act may be cited together as the Exchange Control Acts, 1954 to 1982. |
