CENTRAL BANK OF IRELAND (FORM OF STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1980.

I, MICHEÁL Ó CINNÉIDE, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 35 of the Currency Act, 1927 (No. 32 of 1927), as adapted by section 11 of the Central Bank Act, 1942 (No. 22 of 1942), and amended by the Exchequer and Local Financial Years Act (Adaptation of Enactments and Statutory Instruments) (No. 2) Order, 1974 ( S.I. No. 293 of 1974 ), and after consultation with the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Ireland, hereby make the following Regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Central Bank of Ireland (Form of Statement of Accounts) (Amendment) Regulations, 1980.

(2) The Central Bank of Ireland (Form of Statement of Accounts) Regulations, 1961 to 1978, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Central Bank of Ireland (Form of Statement of Accounts) Regulations, 1961 to 1980.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. The Central Bank of Ireland (Form of Statement of Accounts) Regulations, 1961 ( S.I. No. 187 of 1961 ), are hereby amended by the substitution for the matter at reference B in Part I of the Schedule (inserted by the Central Bank of Ireland (Form of Statement of Accounts) (Amendment) Regulations, 1969 ( S.I. No. 120 of 1969 )) of the matter contained in the Schedule to this Order.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These amending Regulations revise the form of Balance Sheet in respect of the Legal Tender Note Fund by adding to the list of assets, currencies and securities of Governments of other Member States of the European Economic Community and ECU (currency units of the European Monetary System).
