MERCHANT SHIPPING (CERTIFICATION OF SEAMEN) ACT, 1979

AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE ISSUE BY THE MINISTER FOR TOURISM AND TRANSPORT OF CERTIFICATES OF COMPETENCY TO CERTAIN CATEGORIES OF SEAMEN, FOR THAT PURPOSE TO REPEAL CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE MERCHANT SHIPPING ACTS, 1894 TO 1968, AND TO PROVIDE FOR OTHER MATTERS CONNECTED WITH THE ABOVE MATTERS. [19th December, 1979]
