CENTRAL BANK OF IRELAND (FORM OF STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1978.

I, SEOIRSE Ó COLLA, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 35 of the Currency Act, 1927 (No. 32 of 1927), as adapted by section 11 of the Central Bank Act, 1942 (No. 22 of 1942), and amended by the Exchequer and Local Financial Years Act (Adaptation of Enactments and Statutory Instruments) (No. 2) Order, 1974 ( S.I. No. 293 of 1974 ), and after consultation with the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Ireland, hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Central Bank of Ireland (Form of Statement of Accounts) (Amendment) Regulations, 1978.

(2) The Central Bank of Ireland (Form of Statement of Accounts) Regulations, 1961 to 1975, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Central Bank of Ireland (Form of Statement of Accounts) Regulations, 1961 to 1978.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. The Central Bank of Ireland (Form of Statement of Accounts) Regulations, 1961 ( S.I. No. 187 of 1961 ), are hereby amended by:

( a ) the substitution at reference A in Part II of the Schedule (inserted by the Central Bank of Ireland (Form of Statement of Accounts) (Amendment) Regulations, 1969 ( S.I. No. 120 of 1969 )) of the matter contained in Part I of the Schedule to this Order, and

( b ) the substitution at reference D (inserted by the Central Bank of Ireland (form of Statement of Accounts) (Amendment) Regulations, 1973 ( S.I. No. 121 of 1973 )) in that part of that Schedule of the matter contained in Part II of the Schedule to this Order.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations amend the headings in the annual statement of accounts of the Central Bank of Ireland so as to bring them up to date. Certain new headings designed to give further information regarding the affairs of the Bank have been added and a heading no longer required has been deleted.
