CONTROL OF IMPORTS (MISCELLANEOUS QUOTAS) (REVOCATION) ORDER, 1975.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 11 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Miscellaneous Quotas) (Revocation) Order, 1975.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1975.

3. The following Orders are hereby revoked:—

( a ) Control of Imports (Quota No. 12) Order, 1935 (S.R. & O., No. 16 of 1935);

( b ) Control of Imports (Quota No. 28) Order, 1936 (S.R. & O., No. 16 of 1936);

( c ) Control of Imports (Quota No. 35) Order, 1937 (S.R. & O., No. 217 of 1937);

( d ) Control of Imports (Quota No. 36) Order, 1937 (S.R. & O., No. 314 of 1937);

( e ) Control of Imports (Quota No. 50) (Superphosphates) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 129 of 1959 ); and

( f ) Control of Imports (Quota No. 53) (Miscellaneous Brushes) Order, 1966 ( S.I. No. 116 of 1966 ).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Instrument removes, as from 1st July, 1975, the quota restrictions on the importation of Silk or Artificial Silk Hose (of a value not exceeding £2.50 per dozen pairs); Brushes, Brooms and Mops; Sparking Plugs; Laminated Springs; and Superphosphates.
