ROAD TRAFFIC (SPEED LIMITS) (COUNTY OF KILDARE) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1973.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 and 46 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) amended as regards the said section 46 by section 25 of the Road Traffic Act, 1968 (No. 25 of 1968) hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County of Kildare) (Amendment) Regulations, 1973.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 24th day of December, 1973.

3. Sub-article (3) of article 5 of the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County of Kildare) Regulations, 1969 ( S.I. No. 27 of 1969 ) and the Fifth Schedule thereto are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the Road Traffic (Speed Limit) (County of Kildare) Regulations, 1969 ( S.I. No. 27 of 1969 ) by revoking article 5 (3) thereof and the Fifth Schedule thereto which prescribed a special speed limit of 60 m.p.h. in respect of the public road mentioned in that Schedule.
