DISTRICT COURT AREAS (VARIATION OF DAYS AND HOURS) ORDER, 1968.

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 26 (1) (f) of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the District Court Areas (Variation of Days and Hours) Order, 1968.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1968.

2. In this Order "the Principal Order" means the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ).

3. The days for holding the District Court in the District Court Area of Glengarriff shall, in lieu of the days specified in column (4) at reference number 42 in the First Schedule and in column (4) at reference number 37 in the Second Schedule to the Principal Order, be the second Thursday in March, June, September and December.

4. The hours for holding the District Court in the District Court Area of Bantry shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 29 in the First Schedule and in column (4) at reference number 24 in the Second Schedule to the Principal Order, be 11.00 a.m.

5. Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated and is not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if paragraphs 3 and 4 of this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order alters the existing provisions with regard to the dates for holding sittings of the District Court in Glengarriff and the commencement times of sittings of the District Court in Bantry.
