DISTRICT COURT AREAS (VARIATION OF HOURS) (No. 2) ORDER, 1966.

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 26 (1) (f) of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby order as follows :

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the District Court Areas (Variation of Hours) (No. 2) Order, 1966.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1967.

2. In this Order " the Principal Order " means the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ).

3. The hours for the holding of the District Court (for the purposes of the transaction of the business of the District Court exercising its summary jurisdiction) in the District Court Areas of Eyrecourt and Banagher shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) of the First Schedule to the Principal Order at reference numbers 87 and 201, be eleven o'clock a.m.

4. The hours for the holding of the District Court (for the purposes of the transaction of the business of the District Court exercising its civil jurisdiction) in the District Court Areas of Eyrecourt and Banagher shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) of the Second Schedule to the Principal Order at reference numbers 76 and 171, be eleven o'clock a.m.

5. Business transacted in the District Court Area of Eyrecourt or Banagher which is initiated and is not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if paragraphs 3 and 4 of this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order alters the existing provisions with regard to the commencement times of sittings of the District Court in Banagher and Eyrecourt.
