DISTRICT COURT AREAS (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1966.

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the power conferred on me by paragraph (c) of subsection (1) of section 26 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the District Court Areas (Amendment) Order, 1966.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1966.

2. (1) The district court area of Cork city is hereby varied by the substitution of the following for the matter in column (5) at reference number 39 in the First Schedule and for the matter in column (5) at reference number 34 in the Second Schedule to the Principal Order:

" The area comprising—

(a) the county borough of Cork as extended by the County Borough of Cork (Extension of Boundary) Provisional Order, 1965, as confirmed by the Local Government Provisional Order Confirmation Act, 1965 ,

(b) the District Electoral Divisions of Douglas, Inishkenny and Lehenagh in the county of Cork, and

(c) those parts of the District Electoral Divisions of Bishopstown and Blackrock which are in the county of Cork ".

(2) The district Court area of Blarney is hereby varied by the deletion from column (5) at reference number 30 in the First Schedule and at reference number 25 in the Second Schedule to the Principal Order of " St. Mary's " and by the insertion in the said columns (5) at the said reference numbers after " Cork " of " and that part of the District Electoral Division of St. Mary's which is in the county of Cork ".

(3) The district court area of Riverstown is hereby varied by the deletion from column (5) at reference number 51 in the First Schedule and at reference number 46 in the Second Schedule to the Principal Order of " Rathcooney ", and by insertion in the said columns (5) at the said reference numbers after " Cork " of " and that part of the District Electoral Division of Rathcooney which is in the county of Cork ".

(4) In this paragraph " the Principal Order " means the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961, ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ).

3. Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated and is not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had not been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order provides for the inclusion in the District Court Area of Cork City of the areas added to the County Borough of Cork under the County Borough of Cork (Extension of Boundary) Provisional Order, 1965 as confirmed by the Local Government Provisional Order Confirmation Act, 1965 .
