DISTRICT COURT AREAS (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1965.

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by paragraphs (c) and (f)of subsection (1) of section 26 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby order as follows:

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the District Court Areas (Amendment) Order, 1965.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1965.

2. In this Order "the Principal Order" means the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ).

3. The district court area of New Ross is hereby varied by the addition of the district electoral division of Ballyhack to the district electoral divisions in the county of Wexford mentioned at paragraph (a) in column (5) of the Second Schedule to the Principal Order at reference number 219.

4. The days and times for holding the District Court in a district court area mentioned in column (1) of the Schedule to this Order are hereby varied by the substitution of the days and times mentioned in column (2) of that Schedule opposite the mention of that district court area in the said column (1) for the days and times appointed in respect of that district court area by the Principal Order.

5. Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated and is not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order alters the times appointed at present for the commencement of District Court sittings in Rathdrum and Tullow and includes the District Electoral Division of Ballyhack, Co. Wexford, in the District Court Area of New Ross for the purposes of civil jurisdiction.
