DISTRICT COURT AREAS (VARIATION OF DAYS) ORDER, 1962.

I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the power conferred on me by paragraph (f) of subsection (1) of section 26 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby order as follows :

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the District Court Areas (Variation of Days) Order, 1962.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 8th day of October, 1962.

2. In this Order "the Principal Order" means the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ).

3. The day for holding the District Court in the District Court area of Castlemartyr shall, in lieu of the day specified in column (4) at reference number 33 in the First Schedule and in column (4) at reference number 28 in the Second Schedule to the Principal Order, be the fourth Friday in each month, and the Principal Order shall be construed and have effect accordingly.

4. The day for holding the District Court in the District Court Area of Cobh shall, in lieu of the day specified in column (4) at reference number 38 in the First Schedule and in column (4) at reference number 33 in the Second Schedule to the Principal Order, be the fourth Wednesday in each month, and the Principal Order shall be construed and have effect accordingly.

5. Business transacted in the District Court Area of Castlemartyr which is initiated and is not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if paragraph 3 of this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

6. Business transacted in the District Court Area of Cobh which is initiated and is not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if paragraph 4 of this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order effects changes in the days for holding sittings of the District Court in the district court areas of Cobh and Castlemartyr in District Court District No. 20.
