CENTRAL BANK OF IRELAND (FORM OF STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1960.

I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 35 of the Currency Act, 1927 (No. 32 of 1927), as adapted by section 11 of the Central Bank Act, 1942 (No. 22 of 1942), and after consultation with the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Ireland, hereby make the following regulations :

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Central Bank of Ireland (Form of Statement of Accounts) (Amendment) Regulations, 1960.

(2) The Central Bank of Ireland (Form of Statement of Accounts) Regulations, 1943 to 1959, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Central Bank of Ireland (Form of Statement of Accounts) Regulations, 1943 to 1960.

2. The form of balance sheet set out in the Schedule to these Regulations is hereby substituted for that which, by virtue of the Central Bank of Ireland (Form of Statement of Accounts) (Amendment) Regulations, 1957 ( S.I. No. 86 of 1957 ), is set out under the heading " B.—Balance Sheet " in Part I of the Schedule to the Central Bank of Ireland (Form of Statement of Accounts) Regulations, 1943 ( S. R. & O. No. 94 of 1943 ).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These amending Regulations revise the form of Balance Sheet in respect of the Legal Tender Note Fund by adding to the list of assets Irish Government Security for advances under subsection (7) of section 3 of the Bretton Woods Agreements Act, 1957 .
