AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS (RESTRICTION OF EXPORT) ORDER, 1956 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1957.

I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by virtue of section 2 of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), and the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Transfer of Powers) Order, 1956 ( S.I. No. 52 of 1956 ), hereby order as follows :—

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Agricultural Products (Restriction of Export) Order, 1956 (Amendment) Order, 1957.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 7th day of January, 1957.

2. The Schedule to the Agricultural Products (Restriction of Export) Order, 1956 ( S.I. No. 56 of 1956 ), is hereby amended by the insertion in Part I after " sheepskins and sheepskin pieces " of " Sugar and molasses ".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The effect of this Order is to prohibit the export of sugar and molasses to any destination except under licence issued by the Minister for Industry and Commerce.
