AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS (RESTRICTION OF EXPORT) ORDER, 1956.

I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by virtue of section 2 of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), and the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Transfer of Powers) Order, 1956 ( S.I. No. 52 of 1956 ), hereby order as follows :

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Agricultural Products (Restriction of Export) Order, 1956.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1956.

2.—(1) The exportation of any articles specified in Part I of the Schedule to this Order is hereby prohibited save under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947).

(2) The exportation of any articles specified in Part II of the Schedule to this Order, otherwise than to Northern Ireland or Great Britain, is hereby prohibited save under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 .

3. This Order shall not apply to sweets and chocolates and chocolate couverture which are exported by parcel post.

4. Where any articles specified in Part II of the Schedule to this Order are entered for export to Northern Ireland or Great Britain, no person shall deliver, or cause, procure or facilitate in any manner the delivery of, such articles at any destination other than a destination in Northern Ireland or Great Britain, as the case may be.

SCHEDULE.

PART I.

ARTICLES THE EXPORT OF WHICH IS PROHIBITED TO ALL PLACES.

Horns and hooves of cattle.

Sheep or lamb pelts and pieces thereof.

Sheepskins and sheepskin pieces.

Sweets and chocolates and chocolate coverture.

Tea

Wheat products as follows :

commodities the preparation of which wheat or any product of wheat is used, other than commodities to which sugar or other sweetening matter has been added in the course of preparation.

Wood and timber (not including cork or fully constructed articles of timber).

PART II.

ARTICLES THE EXPORT OF WHICH IS PROHIBITED TO PLACES OTHER THAN NORTHERN IRELAND AND GREAT BRITAIN.

Rubber, natural including latex.
