CORK DISTRICT MILK BOARD (LEVY) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1953.

I, THOMAS WALSH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) Acts, 1936 to 1952, and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby make the following regulations :—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Cork District Milk Board (Levy) (Amendment) Regulations, 1953.

2. In these Regulations—

" the Act " means the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) Act, 1936 (No. 43 of 1936), as amended by the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) (Amendment) Act, 1941 (No. 11 of 1941), and the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) (Amendment) Act, 1952 , (No. 9 of 1952) ;

" the Amending Regulations " means the Cork District Milk Board (Levy) (Amendment) Regulations, 1951 ( S.I. No. 210 of 1951 ).

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

4.—(1) For the purposes of the levy payable to the Board under paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of section 41 of the Act—

(a) the prescribed sum shall, as respects the month of May, 1953, and each subsequent month, be one-third of a penny,

(b) paragraph (1) of regulation 4 of the Amending Regulations shall, as respects any such month, cease to apply.

(2) For the purposes of the levy payable to the Board under paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of section 41 of the Act—

(a) the prescribed sum shall, as respects the month of May, 1953, and each subsequent month, be one-third of a penny ;

(b) paragraph (2) of regulation 4 of the Amending Regulations shall, as respects any such month, cease to apply.
