PROHIBITION OF IMPORT (DRIED MILK AND POWDERED MILK) ORDER, 1932.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of section 23 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1932 (No. 10 of 1932), that the Minister for Agriculture may from time to time by order prohibit the importation of any particular class or classes of dairy produce:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section (1) of section 23 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1932 (No. 10 of 1932), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Prohibition of Import (Dried Milk and Powdered Milk) Order, 1932.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3.—(1) The importation into Saorstát Eireann after the 2nd day of November, 1932, of the following classes of dairy produce is hereby prohibited, that is to say, dried milk and powdered milk, other than dried milk and powdered milk in respect of which both of the following conditions are complied with, that is to say—

(a) such dried milk or powdered milk (as the case may be) is imported in a package; and

(b) the weight of dried milk or powdered milk (as the case may be) in such package does not exceed two pounds.

(2) In this paragraph the word "package" means any bottle, box, carton, envelope, wrapper, or other container of any kind whatsoever.
