Power to remove commissioners, and appoint others in their stead.

Number of commissioners limited to five.

5. It shall and may be lawful for the Queen’s most excellent Majesty to remove either of the said commissioners so to be appointed, or any of the commissioners heretofore appointed under the said first-recited Act. and in like manner to nominate another or others in the stead of the person or persons so removed or in the stead of any of the said commissioners being removed, or dying or resigning: Provided, however, that there shall not be at any one time more than five persons commissioners of public works in Ireland for the execution of the said severally recited Acts, and all other Acts for the execution of which the commissioners of public works shall have been appointed or are the commissioners.
