I, JIM O’CALLAGHAN, Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 17(5) of the International Protection Act 2026 (No. 9 of 2026), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. (1) This Order may be cited as the International Protection Act 2026 (Section 17) (Designation of Verifying Authority) Order 2026. | ||
(2) This Order shall come into force on 12th June 2026. | ||
2. The Assistant Garda Commissioner with responsibility for the Garda National Crime and Security Intelligence Service is designated as the verifying authority in the State for the purposes of Article 6 of the Eurodac Regulation. | ||
