S.I. No. 207/2026 - Roads Act 1993 (Designation of National Managed Roads) Order 2026

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

I, DARRAGH O’BRIEN, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 10A (inserted by section 49 of the Road Traffic and Roads Act 2023 (No. 16 of 2023)) of the Roads Act 1993 (No. 14 of 1993) (as adapted by the Transport, Tourism and Sport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 351 of 2020 )), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Roads Act 1993 (Designation of National Managed Roads) Order 2026.

2. The national road being the N4, classified as such under the Roads Act 1993 (Classification of National Roads) Order 2012 ( S.I. No. 53 of 2012 ), is designated as a national managed road to the extent as marked in red on the maps attached to this Order together with, in the case of each junction, such other parts of the road shown on the relevant map for the junction.

The Roads Act 1993 (Designation of National Managed Roads) Order 2026 provides for the formal designation of a defined section of the N4 national road as a ‘national managed road’ under section 10A of the Roads Act 1993 , as inserted by the Road Traffic and Roads Act 2023 .
