S.I. No. 203/2026 - Consumer Insurance Contracts Act 2019 (Commencement) Order 2026

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 15th May, 2026.

I, SIMON HARRIS, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 27 (2) of the Consumer Insurance Contracts Act 2019 (No. 53 of 2019), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Consumer Insurance Contracts Act 2019 (Commencement) Order 2026.

2. The 13th day of May 2026 is appointed as the day on which subsection (4) (as amended by section 9 of the Insurance (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2022 (No. 11 of 2022)) of section 18 of the Consumer Insurance Contracts Act 2019 (No. 53 of 2019) shall come into operation.
