An tSeirbhís Oideachais Leanúnaigh agus Scileanna, after making such inquiries as it thinks proper and consultation with organisations and associations appearing to it to be representative of substantial numbers of employers in the activities referred to in this Order and of substantial numbers of persons employed in such activities, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 of the Industrial Training Act 1967 (No. 5 of 1967) and by section 38 of the Further Education and Training Act 2013 (No. 25 of 2013) hereby makes the following Order: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Industrial Training (Financial Services Industry) (Amendment) Order 2026. | ||
2. In this Order, “the Principal Order” means the Industrial Training (Financial Services Industry) Order 2016. | ||
3. The Principal Order and this Order may be cited together as the Industrial Training (Financial Services Industry) Orders 2016 and 2026. | ||
4. Article 2 of the Principal Order is hereby amended by inserting the following subparagraphs after subparagraph (b); | ||
“ (c) the management of customer relationships in the financial services industry; | ||
(d) the provision of advice to customers on matters relating to financial products; | ||
(e) the identification, assessment and management of risk associated with the provision of financial services and operating within applicable compliance and reporting requirements.” | ||
(f) all operations in recording, monitoring and analysis of financial transactions and the operation of financial systems, platforms and software” | ||
(g) all operations in research and development of products and services for the financial services industry” | ||

An tSeirbhís Oideachais Leanúnaigh agus Scileanna was established under the Further Education and Training Act 2013 to promote training in industry and commerce. | ||
This Order amends the Industrial Training (Financial Services Industry) Order 2016, which defines the activities of the financial services industry in relation to which An tSeirbhís Oideachais Leanúnaigh agus Scileanna shall exercise its functions in the creation of statutory apprenticeships. |
