S.I. No. 127/2025 - Employment Permits (Amendment) (No. 4) Regulations 2025

I, PETER BURKE, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 4 , 9 , 10 , 11 , 12 , 13 , 15 , 18 , 19 , 21 , 22 , 23 , 24 , 25 , 26 , 27 , 28 , 29 , 31 , 32 , 33 , 34 , 35 , 36 , 37 , 39 , 40 , 41 , 43 , 44 , 45 , 46 , 47 , 49 , 50 and 63 of the Employment Permits Act 2024 (No. 17 of 2024), hereby make the following regulations:

Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Employment Permits (Amendment) (No. 4) Regulations 2025.

Commencement

2. These Regulations come into operation on 7 April 2025.

Definitions

3. In these Regulations “Principal Regulations” means the Employment Permits Regulations 2024 ( S.I. No. 444 of 2024 ).

Amendment of Schedule 5 to Principal Regulations

4. Schedule 5 (as amended by Regulation 4 of the Employment Permits (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2025 ( S.I. No. 119 of 2025 )) to the Principal Regulations is amended by substituting for the entry for “HGV/Bus mechanic” the following:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations are made under the Employment Permits Act 2024 . They amend the Employment Permits Regulations 2024 by increasing the quota of General Employment Permits for employment as a HGV/bus mechanic by 200 permits.

These Regulations may be cited as the Employment Permits (Amendment) (No. 4) Regulations 2025.
