S.I. No. 682/2020 - Withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (Consequential Provisions) Act 2020 (Construction Products – Market Surveillance) Regulations 2020

I, DARRAGH O’ BRIEN, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 133 (1) of the Withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (Consequential Provisions) Act 2020 (No. 23 of 2020), hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (Consequential Provisions) Act 2020 (Construction Products – Market Surveillance) Regulations 2020.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on 23 December 2020.

2. Dublin City Council is prescribed as a competent authority for the purposes of carrying out the functions of a market surveillance authority under the European Union (Construction Products) Regulations 2013 ( S.I. No. 225 of 2013 ).

3. All construction products to which the Construction Products Regulation applies, placed on the market or, as the case may be, made available on the market, in the State, are prescribed as construction products in respect of which Dublin City Council, prescribed under Regulation 2 as a competent authority, shall carry out the functions referred to in that Regulation 2 of a market surveillance authority.
