S.I. No. 519/2020 - Business, Enterprise and Innovation (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 6 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act 1939 (No.36 of 1939), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Business, Enterprise and Innovation (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020. | ||
(2) This Order comes into operation on 10 November 2020. | ||
2. The name of the Department of State, the present name of which is, in the Irish language, an Roinn Gnó, Fiontar agus Nuálaíochta and, in the English language, the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation, is altered, in the Irish language, to that of an Roinn Fiontar, Trádála agus Fostaíochta and, in the English language, to that of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment. | ||
3. The title of the Minister having charge of the Department of State, whose present title is, in the Irish language, an tAire Gnó, Fiontar agus Nuálaíochta and, in the English language, the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation is altered, in the Irish language, to that of an tAire Fiontar, Trádála agus Fostaíochta and, in the English language, to that of the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment. | ||
4. In any enactment or any instrument made under an enactment - | ||
(a) references to the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation shall be construed as references to the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment; and | ||
(b) references to the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation shall be construed as references to the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment. | ||
