I, MICHAEL CREED, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2016/317 of 3 March 20161 , hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Vegetable Seeds) (Amendment) Regulations 2017. | ||
2. The European Communities (Vegetable Seeds) Regulations 2001 ( S.I. No. 306 of 2001 ) are amended by substituting in Regulation 2(1) for the definition of “Directive” (as amended by the European Communities (Vegetable Seeds) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 ( S.I. No 129 of 2014 )) the following- | ||
“ ‘Directive’ means Council Directive 2002/55/EC of 13 June 20022 , Council Directive 2003/61/EC of 18 June 20033 , Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 September 20034 , Council Directive 2004/117/EC of 22 December 20045 , Commission Directive 2006/124/EC of 5 December 20066 , Commission Directive 2009/74/EC of 26 June 20097 , Commission Implementing Directive 2013/45/EU of 7 August 20138 and Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2016/317 of 3 March 2016;”. | ||
