I, FRANCES FITZGERALD, Minister for Justice and Equality, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (5) of the Employment Permits (Amendment) Act 2014 (No. 26 of 2014), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Employment Permits (Amendment) Act 2014 (section 34) (Commencement) Order 2014. | ||
2. The 3rd day of October 2014 is appointed as the day on which section 34 of the Employment Permits (Amendment) Act 2014 (No. 26 of 2014) shall come into operation. | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE | ||

This Order appoints the 3rd of October 2014 as the date on which Section 34 of the Employment Permits (Amendment) Act 2014 shall come into operation. This section amends Section 5 of the Illegal Immigrants (Trafficking) Act 2000 which makes provision for applications for judicial review in relation to decisions taken in the asylum/immigration area which may give rise to a person’s exclusion or removal from the State. |
