Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 23rd April, 2013.

I, JAMES REILLY, Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (3) of the Health (Alteration of Criteria for Eligibility) Act 2013 (No. 10 of 2013), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Health (Alteration of Criteria for Eligibility) Act 2013 (Certain Provisions)(Commencement) Order 2013.

2. The 19th day of April 2013 is appointed as the day on which the Health (Alteration of Criteria for Eligibility) Act 2013 (No. 10 of 2013), other than section 4, comes into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation).

This Order commences all sections (with the exception of section 4) of the Health (Alteration of Criteria for Eligibility) Act 2013 . These sections provide for amending the eligibility for services provided to persons age 70 years or more under the Health Act 1970 , the furnishing of personal data in certain circumstances and to provide for matters connected therewith.
