The Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the Electoral Act 1992 (No. 23 of 1992), hereby makes the following Regulations:— | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Electoral (Amendment) Regulations 2010. | ||
2. The Electoral (Amendment) Regulations 2009 ( S.I. No. 75 of 2009 ) are hereby revoked. | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE | ||

These regulations restore the requirements set out in the Electoral Regulations 2007 in relation to the specified documents which a voter may be required to produce at a polling station and the photographic identification documents required to be produced by a person assenting to the nomination of a non-party candidate (by signing and completing a statutory declaration) in order to reflect requirements appropriate to a Dáil election. |
