S.I. No. 616/2003 - Rules of the Superior Courts (Fees Payable To Commissioners For Oaths), 2003


We, the Superior Courts Rules Committee, constituted pursuant to the provisions of the Courts of Justice Act, 1936 , section 67, and reconstituted pursuant to the provisions of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 , section 15, by virtue of the powers conferred upon us by the Courts of Justice Act 1924 , section 36, and the Courts of Justice Act, 1936 , section 68 (as applied by the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Act, 1961 , section 48), and the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Act 1961 , section 14, and of all other powers enabling us in this behalf, do hereby make the following Rules of Court.

RULES OF THE SUPERIOR COURTS (FEES PAYABLE TO COMMISSIONERS FOR OATHS), 2003

1.       Appendix W (as inserted by the Rules of the Superior Courts (No. 4), 1990 ( S.I. No. 281 of 1990 ) and amended by the Rules of the Superior Courts (No. 4) (Euro Changeover ( S.I. No. 585 of 2001 )) to the Rules of the Superior Courts ( S.I. No. 15 of 1986 ) is hereby amended by the substitution of the following for Part VI thereof:

“PART VI

FEES PAYABLE TO COMMISSIONERS FOR OATHS.

1.   On taking an affidavit, affirmation or declaration     ...

Euro 10

2.   On marking exhibits therein referred to and required

to be marked - for each exhibit  ...     ...     ...     ...

but not exceeding for all exhibits     ...     ...     ...     ...

3.   On attesting the execution of a bond     ...     ...     ...

Euro 10”.

2.         (1)  These rules may be cited as the Rules of the Superior Courts (Fees Payable to Commissioners for Oaths), 2003.

(2)  These rules shall come into effect on the 11th day of December, 2003.

The purpose of this Rule is to increase fees payable to Commissioners for Oaths from Thursday 11th December, 2003.
