S.I. No. 43/2003 - Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977 (Controlled Drugs) (Declaration No 3) Order, 2003

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 (2) of the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977 (No.12 of 1977), hereby makes the following Order:

1.         This Order may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977 (Controlled Drugs (Declaration No 3) Order, 2003.

2.         This Order shall come into operation on the 4th day of February, 2003.

3.         Each of the substances, products and preparations specified in the Schedule to this Order is hereby declared to be a controlled drug for the purposes of the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977 (No.12 of 1977)

Schedule

1.         The following substance, namely:

Norephedrine (Phenylpropanolamine).

2.         Any salt of a substance specified in paragraph 1 of this Schedule.

6.         Any preparation or product containing any proportion of a substance specified in paragraph 1 or 2 of this Schedule.
