INVESTOR COMPENSATION ACT, 1998 (APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS OF INVESTOR COMPENSATION COMPANY) REGULATIONS, 1998

I, Charlie McCreevy, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 17 of the Investor Compensation Act, 1998 (No. 37 of 1998), with the consent of the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, hereby make the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Investor Compensation Act, 1998 (Appointment of Members of Investor Compensation Company) Regulations, 1998, and shall come into operation on the 14th day of September, 1998.

2. The following bodies and persons shall be members of the Investor Compensation Company:

The Central Bank of Ireland

The Irish Stock Exchange Limited

The Irish Association of Investment Managers.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These regulations set out the bodies and persons which have been nominated by the Minister for Finance, with the consent of the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, to be members of the Investor Compensation Company Limited in accordance with section 17 of the Investor Compensation Act, 1998 .
