INVESTOR COMPENSATION ACT, 1998 (PRESCRIPTION OF BODIES) REGULATIONS, 1998.

I, CHARLIE McCREEVY, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 18 (3) of the Investor Compensation Act, 1998 (No. 37 of 1998), with the consent of the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, hereby make the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Investor Compensation Act, 1998 (Prescription of Bodies) Regulations, 1998 and shall come into operation on the 1st day of August, 1998.

2. The following bodies are hereby prescribed as bodies which appear to the Minister to represent the financial services industry:

Irish Brokers Association Limited

Irish Stock Exchange Limited

Irish Bankers Federation

Irish Association of Investment Managers.

These regulations set out the bodies representing the financial services industry who may nominate directors to the Board of the Investor Compensation Company.
